Description

Park Ji Won, known simply as Jiwon, is a South Korean singer, dancer and member of FROMIS_9. She attended Cheongdam High School but dropped out and later passed the High School Graduation Academic Qualification Examination. Before debuting, she was a trainee at JYP Entertainment and, in 2015, participated in the survival show "Sixteen", the show that ultimately created TWICE, but she was eliminated in episode 9. In 2017, she entered the singing survival show, "Idol School" where she ranked in 6th place and earned a spot in the group. She officially debuted in 2018 as FROMIS_9's main vocalist with their 1st EP "To. Heart", which landed in 4th place in the Gaon Album Chart. In September 2018, Stone Music Entertainment confirmed that the group would now be managed by Off the Record Entertainment, a new label established by Stone Music to manage this group and Iz*One, and with Pledis Entertainment in charge of the creative direction and the production of the group's music. The move was heavily criticized by fans as they felt the group was neglected in terms of promotions and releases compared to Iz*One. That same year, she made her acting debut with a role in the web series "Welcome to Heal Inn". In 2021, the group fully transferred to Pledis after Off the Record re-organized. This generated more criticism as Pledis has a history of mismanaging girl groups and hinder their development. In June 2023, she was part of the group's 1st studio album "Unlock My World".(Source: Namu Wiki)
